How we handle what you tell us. Last updated 11 September 2026.

What we collect

What you type into the enquiry form: your name, phone number, postcode, and what you tell us about your situation and what you need, plus your email and date of birth if you choose to give them. We also record the ad or page you arrived from, and technical details from your browser such as your IP address, device and cookies, including cookies set by Meta.

What we do with it — plainly

Auquire is an introduction service. We pass your details to one licensed finance or mortgage broker, and that broker pays us a flat fee for the introduction. That fee is the same whether or not you go ahead with anything, and it is the whole of our business model. We say this here because it is the part most services in this category leave out.

Your details go to one broker. We do not place the same enquiry with a second broker, and we do not sell it on to anyone else afterwards.

What we don't do

• We don't run a credit check. Nothing we do touches your credit file.
• We aren't a credit provider and we don't provide credit assistance. We introduce, nothing more.
• We aren't paid by any lender, and we have no say in what the broker recommends.

The broker

Once your details reach the broker, they hold them as their own controller and their privacy policy applies to what they do next. Ask them for their Australian Credit Licence or credit representative number on the call — you can check it on ASIC's register at asic.gov.au.

Storage and access

Enquiries are processed by our website host, Vercel, and delivered to us through Telegram, a messaging service. Both are overseas service providers, so your details may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States. Access is limited to the people who need it to pass your enquiry on.

Advertising measurement

This site uses the Meta Pixel, which gives Meta information about your visit, including your IP address and browser details. When you send an enquiry we also send Meta a one-way hashed (scrambled) copy of your email, phone number, name, postcode and date of birth if given, with your IP address and browser details, so Meta can match the enquiry to our ads. Meta Platforms, Inc. is based in the United States, and its own privacy policy applies to that information.

Getting it deleted

Email hello@auquire.com.au and ask. We delete our copy within 30 days and confirm when it’s done. If the broker already has your details you’ll need to ask them separately, and we’ll tell you who they are so you can. Hashed data already sent to Meta is handled under Meta’s own policy.

Complaints

Email us first. If you're not satisfied, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes privacy complaints at oaic.gov.au.
